Dignity in old age: caring for Michelle
Michelle can't afford the care She needs after the death of her spouse; we're asking for $800.

I'm caring for my mother, who's 80. After the death of her spouse Michelle can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Michelle desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 25 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Michelle worked all of her life as a nurse, and raised 5 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for four months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $800 goes:
• Part-time carer (four months): $530
• Medication and prescriptions: $115
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $80
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $75
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

take care, Maricel. Hope the doctors have good news. Thinking of Quezon City
Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Thinking of Quezon City.
Stay strong, Maricel. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Put this on a community board in Çankaya this morning.
