Dignity in old age: caring for Matthias
Help Matthias stay in his own home with three months of part-time care.

I'm caring for me, who's 95. After worsening Parkinson's disease Matthias can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Matthias desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 30 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Matthias worked all of his life as a nurse, and raised 2 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for three months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $2,800 goes:
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $310
• Part-time carer (three months): $2,150
• Medication and prescriptions: $340
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

thanks for sharing this. Hope this works out for you. After 22 years in nursing I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Take care.
