Dignity in old age: caring for Leonardo
Help Leonardo stay in his own home with eight months of part-time care.

I'm caring for my father, who's 83. After a fall and hip fracture Leonardo can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Leonardo desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 40 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Leonardo worked all of his life as a schoolteacher, and raised 4 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for eight months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $3,600 goes:
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $680
• Part-time carer (eight months): $2,550
• Medication and prescriptions: $370
Thanks for being kind about this.

Praying for you. Hope you get there. It's not much but it's yours. All the best.
Good luck, Caroline. Your post was clear and honest. Wish I lived closer to Hồ Chí Minh City so I could bring a meal.
