Dignity in old age: caring for Khoa
Khoa can't afford the care He needs after a diagnosis of dementia; we're asking for $200.

I'm caring for my father, who's 79. After a diagnosis of dementia Khoa can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Khoa desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 30 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Khoa worked all of his life as a factory worker, and raised 2 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for eight months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $200 goes:
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $65
• Medication and prescriptions: $60
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $75
