Dignity in old age: caring for Jamila
Jamila can't afford the care She needs after the death of her spouse; we're asking for $3,400.

I'm caring for my mother, who's 74. After the death of her spouse Jamila can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Jamila desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 40 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Jamila worked all of her life as a schoolteacher, and raised 5 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for three months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $3,400 goes:
• Part-time carer (three months): $2,100
• Medication and prescriptions: $440
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $350
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $510
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Thinking of you, Rasha. Shared this with my family. All the best.
Stay strong, Rasha. Gave what I could, wish it was more. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. God bless
sending good thoughts, Rasha. This could happen to any of us. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money.
Hope it all works out, Rasha. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. Don't be hard on yourself for asking.

Hope it all works out. Hope you get there. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Thinking of Cardiff.
