Dignity in old age: caring for Imelda
Help Imelda stay in her own home with three months of part-time care.

I'm caring for my mother, who's 76. After a heart attack Imelda can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Imelda desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 30 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Imelda worked all of her life as a factory worker, and raised 4 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for three months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $600 goes:
• Medication and prescriptions: $70
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $45
• Part-time carer (three months): $485
