Dignity in old age: caring for Haris
Haris, 88, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $200 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for my father, who's 88. After a heart attack Haris can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Haris desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 25 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Haris worked all of his life as a factory worker, and raised 3 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for four months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $200 goes:
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $55
• Medication and prescriptions: $95
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $50
Thanks for being kind about this.

Sending love. Wishing Haris a smooth procedure and a full recovery. Wish I lived closer to Jessore so I could bring a meal. Greetings from Lowell!
