I'm caring for my father, who's 86. After a heart attack Ha-joon can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Ha-joon desperately wants to stay at home. I work 50 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer. Ha-joon worked all of his life as a factory worker, and raised 3 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back. Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for six months will make a huge difference. Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies. Where the $6,450 goes: • Part-time carer (six months): $4,950 • Medication and prescriptions: $730 • Hospital bed and mattress rental: $240 • Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $530 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
