I'm caring for me, who's 94. After a stroke last December Giovanni can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Giovanni desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 25 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Giovanni worked all of his life as a schoolteacher, and raised 3 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for four months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $4,750 goes:

• Medication and prescriptions: $360
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $195
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $495
