I'm caring for my mother, who's 95. After a diagnosis of dementia Eva can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Eva desperately wants to stay at home. I work 50 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer. Eva worked all of her life as a shopkeeper, and raised 2 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back. Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for eight months will make a huge difference. Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies. Where the $2,700 goes: • Medication and prescriptions: $660 • Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $410 • Part-time carer (eight months): $1,630 Every share and every dollar helps.
