Dignity in old age: caring for Dwi
Dwi cannot afford the care He needs after a stroke last December; we are asking for $150.

I'm caring for my father, who's 86. After a stroke last December Dwi can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Dwi desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 30 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Dwi worked all of his life as a factory worker, and raised 4 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for three months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $150 goes:
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $35
• Medication and prescriptions: $85
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $30
With deep gratitude,
Aditya

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Dwi.
Sure. The biggest one is hospital bed and mattress rental, $35. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Ask me anything else.
Hope things get better soon, Aditya. Shared it with a few friends. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Love from Jabalpur
Wishing you peace, Aditya. Hope you get there. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Blessings.

You're not alone. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Greetings from San Diego
