I'm caring for my mother, who's 74. After a stroke last August Bella can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Bella desperately wants to stay at home. I work 50 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer. Bella worked all of her life as a shopkeeper, and raised 5 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back. Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for six months will make a huge difference. Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies. Where the $3,750 goes: • Hospital bed and mattress rental: $270 • Part-time carer (six months): $2,950 • Medication and prescriptions: $530 Every share and every dollar helps.
