I'm caring for my mother, who's 90. After worsening Parkinson's disease Anne can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Anne desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 40 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Anne worked all of her life as a shopkeeper, and raised 5 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for four months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $2,750 goes:
• Part-time carer (four months): $1,950
• Medication and prescriptions: $340
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $260
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $200

What exactly is the $2,750 for?
The list at the bottom is the whole picture. part-time carer (four months) is the biggest at $1,950.
