Dignity in old age: caring for Anjali
Anjali, 76, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $1,000 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for my mother, who's 76. After the death of her spouse Anjali can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Anjali desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 25 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Anjali worked all of her life as a nurse, and raised 3 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for three months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.

• Medication and prescriptions: $75
• Part-time carer (three months): $880
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $45
