Dignity in old age: caring for Anil
Help Anil stay in his own home with six months of part-time care.
🇮🇳 Maharashtra, India582 views
I'm caring for me, who's 76. After worsening Parkinson's disease Anil can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Anil desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 30 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Anil worked all of his life as a factory worker, and raised 4 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for six months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $850 goes:
• Part-time carer (six months): $630
• Medication and prescriptions: $125
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $50
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $45
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.
