I'm caring for me, who's 95. After a fall and hip fracture Angela can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Angela desperately wants to stay at home. I work 30 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer. Angela worked all of her life as a nurse, and raised 4 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back. Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for four months will make a huge difference. Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies. Where the $3,650 goes: • Part-time carer (four months): $2,600 • Medication and prescriptions: $440 • Hospital bed and mattress rental: $220 • Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $390 Thanks for reading all this.
