Dignity in old age: caring for Adriana
Help Adriana stay in her own home with three months of part-time care.
Anywhere in the world1,665 views
I'm caring for my mother, who's 89. After a fall and hip fracture Adriana can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Adriana desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 30 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Adriana worked all of her life as a shopkeeper, and raised 3 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for three months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $350 goes:
• Medication and prescriptions: $145
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $80
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $125
Every share and every dollar helps.

Wishing Adriana a smooth procedure and a full recovery. Don't be hard on yourself for asking.
