Dian's final semester of a degree in social work in Depok

Dian is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a degree in social work at Depok Polytechnic, and is two terms away from graduating. She has worked as a night-shift cleaner to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $550. The registrar has said Dian can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Dian has a 3.8 average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Dian would lose her place and scholarship eligibility. Dian isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student. Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees. Where the $550 goes: • Outstanding tuition balance: $170 • Final term tuition: $300 • Exam and lab fees: $35 • Textbooks and materials: $45 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen. - Rahayu
