Dhruv needs two washing machines and a dryer to reopen a laundry service
Dhruv lost two washing machines and a dryer to a storm that collapsed the roof and needs $500 to reopen a laundry service and support the family.

For fifteen years I have run a laundry service in Madurai. In January, a storm that collapsed the roof took two washing machines and a dryer. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Friday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 3 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $500 goes:
• Replacing two washing machines and a dryer: $280
• Initial stock: detergent and packaging: $100
• Shop repairs and licensing: $35
• Working capital for the first month: $85
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Hope things get better soon. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. We're a small family in Jeddah but we're thinking of you. Love from Jeddah
