For fifteen years I have run a street-food cart in Nashik. In August, floodwater took a gas stove and two refrigerators. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Friday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 10 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $250 goes:
• Initial stock: ingredients: $75
• Working capital for the first month: $115
• Shop repairs and licensing: $60
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Shared it with a few friends. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. All the best
is there anything that isn't money that would help Devi?
Sharing the link is the biggest thing. And if you know anything about initial stock: ingredients, advice is welcome too. Let me know if you want more detail.
Sending strength. Hope the shop reopens soon. Wish I lived closer to Kathmandu so I could bring a meal.
Hope you get there. I have a 10 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Love from Riyadh.
Wishing you the best, Devi. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up.
Hope it all works out. Hope you make a strong comeback. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Love from Rawalpindi.
