Deepak's valve repair surgery can't wait - please help us cover the bill
A scheduled valve repair surgery in August is out of reach without help covering $650 of the cost.

Deepak was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor in June. The surgeon at Biratnagar Community Hospital recommended valve repair surgery, and He is scheduled for August. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,300, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $650 short.
my son has been in and out of Biratnagar Community Hospital since June. The doctors say a benign brain tumor will get worse without valve repair surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,300 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Deepak struggles with daily life and can't drive. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 12 weeks. During that time Deepak won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $650 goes:
• Travel and lodging for the family: $45
• Post-operative medication: $40
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $310
• Hospital stay (2 nights): $255
Glad we found this place.
