Dedi was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in the right knee in June. The surgeon at Depok General Hospital recommended gallbladder removal, and He is scheduled for September. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,650, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $1,150 short. my father has been in and out of Depok General Hospital since June. The doctors say osteoarthritis in the right knee will get worse without gallbladder removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,650 is more than we can find. While we wait, Dedi struggles with daily life and can't drive. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there. Recovery is expected to take about 6 weeks.
