Declan needs my school-run minibus repaired to get back to work in San Diego

Without my school-run minibus Declan can't work; a $1,450 repair would put him back on the road.

San Diego

I make my living with my school-run minibus. 5 weeks ago the transmission failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $1,450. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my wife and our newborn. Before the breakdown I worked twelve hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal. Where the $1,450 goes: • Labor charges: $180 • Road tax and insurance renewal: $220 • transmission replacement (parts): $1,050 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
