David's hip replacement surgery can't wait - please help us cover the bill
David needs hip replacement surgery at Nairobi University Hospital and the family is $1,000 short of the hospital's estimate.

David was diagnosed with a cleft palate needing repair in June. The surgeon at Nairobi University Hospital recommended hip replacement surgery, and He is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,250, and after what our health plan will pay we're still $1,000 short.
my father has been in and out of Nairobi University Hospital since June. The doctors say a cleft palate needing repair will get worse without hip replacement surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,250 is more than we can find.
While we wait, David struggles with daily life and can't stand for more than ten minutes. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 4 weeks. During that time David won't be able to stand for more than ten minutes, so the costs keep growing.
The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did.
Where the $1,000 goes:
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $310
• Post-operative medication: $50
• Physiotherapy sessions: $125
• Hospital stay (3 nights): $515
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Praying for you. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Put this on a community board in Varanasi this morning.
