Daria was diagnosed with an aortic valve defect in January. The surgeon at Kharkiv Community Hospital recommended hip replacement surgery, and She is scheduled for March. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,200, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $950 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Kharkiv Community Hospital since January. The doctors say an aortic valve defect will get worse without hip replacement surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,200 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Daria struggles with daily life and can't lift anything heavy. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 6 weeks. During that time Daria won't be able to lift anything heavy, so the costs keep growing.

Sure. The biggest one is hospital stay (3 nights), $660. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Good question.
