Daniela needs a cochlear implant processor upgrade - help us make it happen
Daniela needs a cochlear implant processor upgrade that the health system will not fund; the cost is $5,250.

I live with muscular dystrophy. My occupational therapist at the Rome Mobility Clinic has assessed me and recommended a cochlear implant processor upgrade. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $5,250.
My current equipment is 13 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 8 weeks.
With the right equipment I could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $5,250 goes:
• cochlear implant processor upgrade: $4,900
• Fitting and training sessions: $105
• Delivery and set-up: $110
• First-year servicing plan: $135
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Hope it all works out, Daniela. Hope this works out for you. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected.
Best of luck. Shared it with a few friends. Love from Gangnam.
Praying for you, Daniela. Shared it with a few friends. My cousin had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Greetings from London.

Good luck, Daniela. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Don't be hard on yourself for asking.
Hope things get better soon, Daniela. Looking forward to the next update. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry
