Daniel's Hodgkin lymphoma treatment fund
12 rounds of treatment are planned at Vancouver Cancer Centre; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.

In August I was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma. My oncology team at Vancouver Cancer Centre has planned 12 rounds of treatment, and the first starts in October. I was told to expect about 3 weeks away from work.
I never imagined I'd be writing something like this. I'm 32, I worked as a bus conductor until August, and I have been the main earner for my household.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, transport to Vancouver Cancer Centre 5 times a week, and the income I have lost add up quickly.
My family is doing everything they can, but we've already sold what we could and are borrowing for groceries.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $7,650 goes:
• Transport to Vancouver Cancer Centre: $780
• Household costs while unable to work: $2,400
• Scans and lab work: $1,250
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $3,220
With deep gratitude,
Daniel

Sending good thoughts, Daniel. Shared this with my family. Love from Manila
Wishing you the best, Daniel. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. We're a small family in Sandton but we're thinking of you. All the best.
Best of luck. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Thinking of Vancouver.
This could happen to any of us. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Thinking of Vancouver.
Praying for you, Daniel. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Take care
