Dae-hyun was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in August. The oncology team at the San Jose Oncology Institute has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in November. He will be away from work for about 3 weeks.
Dae-hyun is 43, worked as a construction supervisor until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the San Jose Oncology Institute 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.

What exactly is the $13,600 for?
Chemotherapy and medication not covered is $9,000 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. Appreciate you taking the time.
