Custody modification: Ruby needs $2,050 before the deadline
Help Ruby cover the fees of a custody modification so She can stay with her family.

I'm facing a custody modification. My hearing is scheduled for July, and the filing fees and the lawyer's retainer come to $2,050. I have been told by three legal-aid offices that their waiting list is longer than my deadline.
I have all of my paperwork ready, and my caseworker at Newcastle upon Tyne Welcome Centre has confirmed that my case is valid.
If I miss the deadline I could lose my right to stay with my family and my job. My children were born here and this is the only home they know.
I'll share any non-sensitive updates as the case moves along.
The money goes to the immigration attorney's trust account and the court filing office. I'll upload receipts with sensitive details removed.
Where the $2,050 goes:
• Attorney retainer: $1,450
• Filing and biometrics fees: $430
• Court-appointed interpreter and travel: $170
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

keep going. This could happen to any of us. Thinking of Newcastle upon Tyne.
Keep going. Looking forward to the next update. After 16 years in nursing I know how hard it's to ask for anything

Keep going, Ruby. Your post was clear and honest. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double.
