I'm writing for my neighbor Vinayak, who's 88. Vinayak lives alone in Aurangabad, and lost a son last year. The nearest family lives a long flight away. Vinayak loves chess, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Thursday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person. All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity. No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience. Thank you for reading my story.

  • hope it all works out, Zalak. Get well soon. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Blessings

    • It takes guts to ask. Well done. I have a 13 year old who wants to send good wishes too. God bless.

      • Thinking of you and your family. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. We're a small family in Saket but we're thinking of you.

        • wishing you peace, Zalak. Shared it with a few friends. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Blessings.

          • Rooting for you, Zalak. Shared this with my family
