Could you share an hour a week with Thabo?
Looking for a friendly person in Johannesburg to visit Thabo once a week.

I'm writing for my neighbor Thabo, who's 73. Thabo lives alone in Johannesburg, and lost a spouse of many years last year. The nearest family lives a long flight away.
Thabo loves old films, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Thursday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

hope the doctors have good news. My sister had a similar thing happen so this one hit home.
Wishing Thabo a smooth procedure and a full recovery. Take care
Sending good thoughts, Andile. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Love from Port Harcourt
Best of luck, Andile. Wishing Thabo a smooth procedure and a full recovery. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Thinking of Johannesburg.
Good luck. This could happen to any of us. Please keep us posted. Love from León
looking forward to the next update. My neighbor in Kharkiv donated after I showed her your page. Thinking of Johannesburg.
Hope things get better soon, Andile. Your post was clear and honest
