Could you share an hour a week with Peter?
Peter lives alone and has no family nearby; a weekly hour of conversation would transform the week.

I'm writing for my neighbor Peter, who's 78. Peter lives alone in Entebbe, and lost a lifelong friend last year. The nearest family lives several hours away.
Peter loves cricket, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Saturday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Hope you get there. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Thinking of Entebbe.
rooting for you. Shared this with my family. My father had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Love from Multan.
Hang in there. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Greetings from New Delhi
Get well soon. Thinking of Entebbe.
Rooting for you, Mwende. This could happen to any of us. I went through something like this 10 years ago and strangers helped me out. Take care!
