Could you share an hour a week with Luuk?
An hour a week, a chat, and a cup of tea - that's all Luuk is asking for.

I'm writing for my neighbor Luuk, who's 78. Luuk lives alone in Haarlem, and lost a sister last year. The nearest family lives a long flight away.
Luuk loves gardening, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Monday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
Thank you for reading my story.

Sending good thoughts, Emma. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. We're a small family in Gwagwalada but we're thinking of you. God bless.
