Could you share an hour a week with Kieran?
An hour a week, a chat, and a cup of tea - that's all Kieran is asking for.

I'm writing for my neighbor Kieran, who's 73. Kieran lives alone in Dublin, and lost a lifelong friend last year. The nearest family lives on the other side of the country.
Kieran loves local history, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Monday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

Rooting for you. Get well soon. God bless!
hope it all works out, Siobhan. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like.

Thinking of you and your family, Siobhan. Your post was clear and honest. Greetings from Auckland.
So sorry you're going through this. Shared it with a few friends. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Thinking of Dublin.
Gave what I could, wish it was more. Thinking of Dublin.
