Could you share an hour a week with Kaori?
An hour a week, a chat, and a cup of tea - that's all Kaori is asking for.

I'm writing for my neighbor Kaori, who's 89. Kaori lives alone in Tokyo, and lost a lifelong friend last year. The nearest family lives 731 kilometers away.
Kaori loves knitting, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Wednesday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.

Thinking of you and your family. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. All the best
Thinking of you. I hope things turn around soon. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Thinking of Tokyo.
