Could you share an hour a week with Javier?

Javier lives alone and has no family nearby; a weekly hour of conversation would transform the week.

I'm writing for my neighbor Javier, who's 84. Javier lives alone in Palmira, and lost a son last year. The nearest family lives a long flight away. Javier loves cricket, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Thursday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person. All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity. No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience. Thanks for being kind about this.

  • Hope it all works out, Ximena. Shared it with a few friends. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. God bless.

shared it with a few friends. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Love from Tarragona
