Could you share an hour a week with Jacob?
Looking for a friendly person in Derry to visit Jacob once a week.

I'm writing for my neighbor Jacob, who's 72. Jacob lives alone in Derry, and lost a sister last year. The nearest family lives on the other side of the country.
Jacob loves cricket, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Wednesday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
