Could you share an hour a week with Carter?
Carter lives alone and has no family nearby; a weekly hour of conversation would transform the week.

I'm writing for my neighbor Carter, who's 79. Carter lives alone in New York, and lost a lifelong friend last year. The nearest family lives a long flight away.
Carter loves chess, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Friday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
Thank you for reading my story.

Thanks for sharing this, Robert. This could happen to any of us.
Sending love, Robert. Gave what I could, wish it was more. I'm in hospitality myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Greetings from San Jose.
I hope things turn around soon. Sent it to 35 people at work. All the best.
Keep going. Looking forward to the next update. God bless
hope the doctors have good news. I'll check back for the next update. Thinking of New York
