Corinne was diagnosed with a thyroid nodule that needs removal in July. The surgeon at Saint-Denis Orthopedic Institute recommended knee replacement surgery, and She is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $4,250, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $3,400 short.
my mother has been in and out of Saint-Denis Orthopedic Institute since July. The doctors say a thyroid nodule that needs removal will get worse without knee replacement surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $4,250 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Corinne struggles with daily life and can't climb stairs. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 4 weeks. During that time Corinne won't be able to climb stairs, so the costs keep growing.
