Companionship wanted: Yasir's birdwatching and a cup of tea
Yasir lives alone and has no family nearby; a weekly hour of conversation would transform the week.

I'm writing for my neighbor Yasir, who's 72. Yasir lives alone in Rawalpindi, and lost a spouse of many years last year. The nearest family lives 379 kilometers away.
Yasir loves birdwatching, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Saturday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Shared it with a few friends. My neighbor in Lahore donated after I showed her your page. Love from Lahore.
you're not alone, Ali. Looking forward to the next update. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it.
Keep going, Ali. Hope this works out for you. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected.
Sending love. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Thinking of Rawalpindi.
Hang in there, Ali. Get well soon. I'm in retail myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you.
