Companionship wanted: Luca's gardening and a cup of tea

Looking for a friendly person in El Paso to visit Luca once a week.

I'm writing for my neighbor Luca, who's 87. Luca lives alone in El Paso, and lost a spouse of many years last year. The nearest family lives several hours away. Luca loves gardening, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Saturday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person. All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity. No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience. Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

  • Hope things get better soon, Luke. Shared this with my family. I'm in accounting myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. All the best.
