Companionship wanted: Kumiko's baking and a cup of tea
Kumiko lives alone and has no family nearby; a weekly hour of conversation would transform the week.

I'm writing for my neighbor Kumiko, who's 81. Kumiko lives alone in Nagoya, and lost a lifelong friend last year. The nearest family lives on the other side of the country.
Kumiko loves baking, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Monday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Stay strong, Taiga. Gave what I could, wish it was more. All the best.
Sending good thoughts, Taiga. Hope the doctors have good news. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too.
