Clean water and shade for Parma: restoring the Baobab riverbank
Help us clean and replant the Baobab riverbank before the November planting window closes.
🇮🇹 Parma, Emilia-Romagna, Italy1,688 views
The Baobab riverbank has been used as an informal dump for years. This August, 57 neighbors turned up for a first cleanup, filling 62 bags in a single morning. Now we want to restore it for good.
We have a plan agreed with the city parks department, including native species selected by a local botanist.
The area floods more each year, and fish have returned for the first time in a decade after our first cleanup. Restoring it will protect homes and bring back shade.
All the labor is volunteered. We just need materials.
We'll post planting day photos and a count of every sapling planted.
Where the $1,350 goes:
• Waste removal and skip hire: $590
• Native saplings and stakes: $650
• Signage and educational materials: $110
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

You're not alone, Angela. Shared it with a few friends. I went through something like this 6 years ago and strangers helped me out. Love from Suwon.
Sending love, Angela. Looking forward to the next update. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Blessings.

You're not alone. It takes guts to ask. Well done. I have a 15 year old who wants to send good wishes too. God bless
