Clean streets and rivers for Warsaw: restoring the Acacia canal
Help us clean and replant the Acacia canal before the June planting window closes.

The Acacia canal has been used as an informal dump for years. This February, 90 neighbors turned up for a first cleanup, filling 144 bags in a single morning. Now we want to restore it for good.
We have a plan agreed with the city parks department, including native species selected by a local botanist.
The area floods more each year, and fish have returned for the first time in a decade after our first cleanup. Restoring it will protect homes and bring back shade.
All the labor is volunteered. We just need materials.
Funds buy saplings, gloves, bags, hire of a skip, and signage.

hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Thinking of Warsaw.
Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Karolina.
Tools and protective gear is $115 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. I'll keep the page updated.
