Clean streets and rivers for Tema: restoring the Harmony wetland
Help us clean and replant the Harmony wetland before the October planting window closes.
🇬🇭 Ghana587 views
The Harmony wetland has been used as an informal dump for years. This August, 33 neighbors turned up for a first cleanup, filling 191 bags in a single morning. Now we want to restore it for good.
We have a plan agreed with the municipal water board, including native species selected by a local botanist.
The area floods more each year, and fish have returned for the first time in a decade after our first cleanup. Restoring it will protect homes and bring back shade.
All the labor is volunteered. We just need materials.
We'll post planting day photos and a count of every sapling planted.
Where the $200 goes:
• Waste removal and skip hire: $120
• Tools and protective gear: $40
• Signage and educational materials: $40
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

This could happen to any of us. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Take care
Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Solomon.
It's all in the list in the story. waste removal and skip hire is the big one at $120, I'll post a receipt when it's paid. Fair thing to want to know.
Rooting for you, Solomon. Great idea, hope you get there. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend.
You're not alone, Solomon. Shared this with my family. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Blessings
Praying for you, Solomon. I hope things turn around soon. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Love from Ekurhuleni
hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. My neighbor in Multan donated after I showed her your page. God bless
