The Cedar wetland has been used as an informal dump for years. This May, 53 neighbors turned up for a first cleanup, filling 59 bags in a single morning. Now we want to restore it for good. We have a plan agreed with the municipal water board, including native species selected by a local botanist. The area floods more each year, and fish have returned for the first time in a decade after our first cleanup. Restoring it will protect homes and bring back shade. All the labor is volunteered. We just need materials. We'll post planting day photos and a count of every sapling planted. Where the $400 goes: • Native saplings and stakes: $220 • Tools and protective gear: $85 • Waste removal and skip hire: $45 • Signage and educational materials: $50 With deep gratitude, Nakato

  1. Thank you all. We're at 27% now ($109). I'm honestly stunned. I met with the nursery and confirmed the amounts.

  2. We're at 8% thanks to 2 of you. the plan for tools and protective gear is now scheduled. More news soon.

  3. Update from Entebbe: we've booked the dates and paid the deposit. We're at 6% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.
