Clean air and water for Semarang: restoring the Harmony wetland
Help us clean and replant the Harmony wetland before the October planting window closes.
🇮🇩 Indonesia1,122 views
The Harmony wetland has been used as an informal dump for years. This June, 49 neighbors turned up for a first cleanup, filling 43 bags in a single morning. Now we want to restore it for good.
We have a plan agreed with the district council, including native species selected by a local botanist.
The area floods more each year, and fish have returned for the first time in a decade after our first cleanup. Restoring it will protect homes and bring back shade.
All the labor is volunteered. We just need materials.
We'll post planting day photos and a count of every sapling planted.
Where the $400 goes:
• Native saplings and stakes: $180
• Tools and protective gear: $40
• Waste removal and skip hire: $130
• Signage and educational materials: $50
I hope life is good to you.

It takes guts to ask. Well done. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Love from Lagos.
Can I help in a way that isn't money? I'm near Semarang.
Thank you. If you're in Semarang I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. It helps to be asked.
Wishing you peace. It takes guts to ask. Well done. My neighbor in Badagry donated after I showed her your page.
