Clean air and water for Pasig: restoring Liberty Beach
Help us clean and replant Liberty Beach before the October planting window closes.
Anywhere in the world1,334 views
Liberty Beach has been used as an informal dump for years. This July, 46 neighbors turned up for a first cleanup, filling 68 bags in a single morning. Now we want to restore it for good.
We have a plan agreed with the local forestry office, including native species selected by a local botanist.
The area floods more each year, and fish have returned for the first time in a decade after our first cleanup. Restoring it will protect homes and bring back shade.
All the labor is volunteered. We just need materials.
We'll post planting day photos and a count of every sapling planted.
Where the $300 goes:
• Signage and educational materials: $35
• Waste removal and skip hire: $150
• Tools and protective gear: $115
With deep gratitude,
Bryan

Hope things get better soon. Looking forward to the next update. I went through something like this 13 years ago and strangers helped me out. God bless.
So sorry you're going through this. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. Take care.
