Claudia's palate reconstruction surgery can't wait - please help us cover the bill
A scheduled palate reconstruction surgery in August is out of reach without help covering $2,500 of the cost.

Claudia was diagnosed with a torn ligament that needs reconstruction in May. The surgeon at Augsburg Regional Medical Center recommended palate reconstruction surgery, and She is scheduled for August. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $3,150, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $2,500 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Augsburg Regional Medical Center since May. The doctors say a torn ligament that needs reconstruction will get worse without palate reconstruction surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $3,150 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Claudia struggles with daily life and can't walk without help. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 6 weeks. During that time Claudia won't be able to walk without help, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $2,500 goes:
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $260
• Travel and lodging for the family: $310
• Hospital stay (3 nights): $1,600
• Post-operative medication: $330
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
