Leni is facing a citizenship application. The hearing is scheduled for November, and the filing fees and the lawyer's retainer come to $2,650. Three legal-aid offices have said their waiting lists are longer than the deadline. Leni has all the paperwork ready, and a caseworker at Hamburg Welcome Centre has confirmed that the case is valid. If the deadline is missed Leni could lose the right to stay with the family and the job. The children were born here and this is the only home they know. The money goes to the immigration attorney's trust account and the court filing office. I'll upload receipts with sensitive details removed. Where the $2,650 goes: • Attorney retainer: $1,850 • Filing and biometrics fees: $450 • Certified translations and document copies: $210 • Court-appointed interpreter and travel: $140 With deep gratitude, Jürgen

  1. Thank you all. We're at 5% now ($125). I'm honestly stunned. the plan for court-appointed interpreter and travel is now scheduled.

  2. Thank you all. We're at 12% now ($305). I'm honestly stunned. the plan for filing and biometrics fees is now scheduled.

  3. Good news. Because of your gifts ($515 in total) we've started the first stage. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
